1. Temporary Work (457) Visa
This 457 temporary work visa allows overseas workers to work in Australia for up to 4 years under the sponsorship of an Australian employer. The worker can bring his/her family to live, work and study in Australia.
Requirements:
- Occupation included in the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL)
- Some occupations need skills assessment from an authorized agency
- Sufficient English language ability (IELTS, TOEFL, OET, PTE)
- Generally good health
- Good character
- Nomination by an approved Australian employer

2. Employer Nomination Scheme (186)
ENS is a permanent visa for workers who are nominated by an Australian employer. The worker can bring his/her family to live, work and study in Australia. They are eligible for Medicare benefits, and can apply for Australian citizenship after residing in Australia for 4 years. This visa has a Direct Entry Stream which requires skills assessment from a recognized agency, and a Temporary Residence Transition Stream which is the permanent residency pathway for 457 visa holders
Requirements:
- Less than 50 years of age
- Occupation included in the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL)
- Skills assessment from an authorized agency for Direct Entry Scheme
- Minimum work experience requirement: 3 years for direct entry stream and 2 years for temporary residence transition stream
- Sufficient English language ability (IELTS, TOEFL, OET, PTE)
- Generally good health
- Good character
- Nomination by an approved Australian employer

3. Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (187)
RSMS is a permanent visa similar to ENS, except that workers are nominated by an Australian employer to fill skilled positions in regional Australia (i.e., outside of Sydney, Wollongong, Melbourne, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Brisbane). The worker can bring his/her family to live, work and study in Australia. They are eligible for Medicare benefits, and can apply for Australian citizenship after residing in Australia for 4 years.

- Less than 50 years of age
- Occupation included in the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL)
- Skills assessment from an authorized agency for Direct Entry Scheme
- Minimum work experience requirement for both streams
- Sufficient English language ability (IELTS, TOEFL, OET, PTE)
- Generally good health
- Good character
- Nomination by an approved Australian employer for work in regional Australia
